# Identity Documents

The first step of the verification process is to select the country and documents you want to use to verify yourself.

The country you select in the dropdown should be the country that has issued your identity documents, not the country you are currently residing in, if they are different.

At this stage you can also switch to your phone to upload your documents and complete the verification process if you'd prefer.
